New Year Fresh Start
Written by Wally Amos
Happy New Year and welcome to my first off the top of my head Blog of the year. This year I plan to do things different or should that be differently. It’s time to shake up the routine and get out of my comfort zone. Just as well because a lot of things in my comfort zone are not giving me the desired results. So be on the lookout for the new Wally Amos. It is going to be a year full of surprises, successes and lots of fun. I will not throw out the baby with the bath water. I do not make New Year’s resolutions, however, if I did, it would be, “To be more Positive during the coming year.” My mantra will continue to be, “Be Positive Regardless.” Have a very positive New Year.
Maka Haouli Makahikiho or Happy New Year.
Aloha, Wally

Maka Haouli Makahikiho! Hope you and Christine received our New Year’s card. You remain an inspiration in our lives, Wally. Warm chocolate chip cookie hugs, Monica and Mike
Happy New Year Wally!
Hi Wally,
I was moved by your article titled, ” Be positive”. As a matter of fact, I am bringing this up in our next sales meeting and am going to request our sales force to read Green Eggs and Ham. We listen to a lot of personal growth at our company from Zig Ziglar to Jim Rohn. We have a some very strong beliefs here that have a lot to do with being positive in life and not just sales. We try to stay rounded physically, spiritually and mentally. We call it SMP. 10 minutes a day in each category, 30 minutes total and you would be surprised how loving and companionate we all are as individuals. Our quality of life is great and not only that, we have had beaten our last years numbers in sales 12 consecutive months in a row. We don’t really focus on anything negative and rather just find solutions to any situation.
What you wrote really inspired me as an individual. On top of that I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter that has a huge vocabulary due to reading to her before she goes to bed. Most of the time she falls asleep while I’m reading, so not only does she fall asleep peacefully, but what else better is there to do for the 10 or 20 minutes she would just lay there anyway?
Please feel free to give me a call any time, if there is anything I can ever do for you I will. Have an excellent New Year! http://www.coastcoast.com
I’ve recently started a blog of my own and the information you provide on this site is helping me tremendously. Thank you for all of your time and good work. Have a very happy new year.
Maybe we don’t want a new Wally Amos. Some of us like the old Wally Amos just fine. (Maybe not that old! LOL)
Good to hear from you Wally. Are you still baking cookies? Do you ever come to the midwest? I remember seeing you once many years ago and it was a big thrill for me. Be sure to tell us if you ever get to Chicago.
Hi Wally,
Happy New Year to you! Thank you for the awesome website and sharing your story with everyone. I think that your happiness really shines through on your webpage and you look truly happy and young in the photo of yourself on your webpage, so you must be doing something right. My best to you from chilly North Dakota. By the way, Wally, I am a cookie expert. I used to easily eat a dozen of those things coming straight out of the oven when my mom would bake them as a kid. OK, I still do. I assume you must have some idea of what I am talking about. Anyway, I am curious about what your aunt’s real recipe tastes like. When you get the orders up and going again email me. Thank you and keep on laughing and smiling because, hey, someone’s got to do it.

Mr. Amos, I am 8 years old. My class is studying African American Month. I will be doing a story on your life and successes. I will then present the information to my class. My mom showed me your website. You have lots of things to be proud of. I like the reading program. What are you most proud of and if you could tell my class anything what would it be? I’m living in Florida. How was it growing up in New York City? Did you have hobbies, did you play any sports? I read that you like music, do you still sing? Who taught you to sing? Was it your Aunt Della or your parents? I feel honored to share your life with my class. Thanks, Cooper
I am looking forward to seeing what you have to say about your new life. Keep us informed.
